While giving myself one of the wildest cosmetics ride of my life (details tomorrow, darlings!), I discovered that the boldest of makeup requires just a dash of extra preparation.
Banish under-eye circles.
Conceal dark areas or signs of fatigue with Givenchy Mister Light Instant Light Corrective Pen ($32, Sephora). My skin is pale, so I used the shade called Mister Meringue. Swish it.

Clean brows are a must.
Brush well-groomed eyebrows with Smashbox's Brow Tech to Go for extra polish.

Moisturize before with lotion, and after with a mist.
As always, use your regular moisturizer before applying foundation or just blush. Misting your face will help set makeup. Products like Bare Escentuals RareMinerals Facial Mist ($8, available at the Sephora in Columbus Circle) make a very dramatic difference.

It's kind of funny how it's helpful to be slightly more "uptight" when going out on a limb.

XO,
Charlotte
